HELP!

We are living in times when all of us can do with a little bit of help. For some of us it is financial assistance, for others it is perhaps social, emotional or psychological support to deal with depression, loneliness or fear for the future and our loved ones. In 1962 The Beatles released a song titled Help!, and the lyrics are still applicable today:
I need somebody
(Help) not just anybody
(Help) you know I need someone
Help!
I never needed anybody’s help in any way
But now these days are gone, and I’m not so self
Assured (but now these days are gone)
Help me if you can, I’m feeling down
And I do appreciate you being ‘round
Help me get my feet back on the ground
Won’t you please, please help me!
It would be no surprise to find that the present circumstances have forced almost every one of us to provide some kind of help to the less fortunate in our closest circle of family and friends. Be it providing a home for a family member whose husband suddenly passed away or another family member with a very ill hubby that requires someone to bring them the necessary comfort items to the hospital. And we MUST help if we can. The man digging through the trash cans for some food items need for us to open a wallet and to hand him a R100 note. Perhaps that will feed his family for a few days. And we need to keep on doing these things for as long as we are able to do so. Expect nothing in return. Charity does not start at home, it starts in your heart and then flows to the less fortunate. Helping others brings out the best in every one of us. And everybody’s best is different. You cannot always be THE best, but you can always be YOUR best!
